Welcome!

Zoom Integration

TL;DR; Connect your own Zoom account to Lupo and Lupo creates the Zoom meetings for the instructor-led sessions you schedule or teach — under your account, exactly as if you had created them in Zoom yourself. You can disconnect at any time, from Lupo or from Zoom, and meetings that already exist are never cancelled by a disconnect.

Pre-release note. The Lupo app is currently under review for publication on the Zoom App Marketplace. Until that review completes, the Connect Zoom account button shows as "coming soon" for most users, and sessions use pasted meeting links instead (which work end to end today). Everything below describes the connection flow exactly as it ships — it is already live for Lupo platform administrators.

What the integration does

Courses in Lupo can include live, instructor-led sessions. Each online session needs a meeting link that learners join from their course page. Without the integration, you create that meeting in Zoom yourself and paste its invite link into the session. With your Zoom account connected, Lupo does that step for you: when you add a Zoom meeting to a session, Lupo schedules the meeting under your Zoom account with the session's title, date, time, timezone, and duration, and wires its join link into the session automatically. If you later reschedule the session, Lupo updates the meeting to match; if you remove the meeting from the session, Lupo cancels it in Zoom.

The connection is personal: each instructor or administrator connects their own Zoom account, and every meeting Lupo creates for them lives in that account — so the host starts the class from their own Zoom, with their own settings and their own recordings, none of which Lupo ever touches.

Prerequisites

  • A Lupo account that can schedule or edit courses or cohorts — Instructors and administrators. Learners join meetings through the session's Join button and never need to connect anything.
  • Your own Zoom account. Any Zoom account type works; Zoom's own limits (such as meeting duration on free plans) apply as usual.

Adding the app: connecting your Zoom account

  1. Sign in to Lupo and open the Zoom integration page at lupo.ai/learn/integrations/zoom. (You can also click Connect Zoom meeting directly on a session form — it is the same flow and returns you to the form when it finishes.)
  2. Click Connect Zoom account.
  3. You land on Zoom's own sign-in and consent screen. Sign in to Zoom if you aren't already, review the requested permissions, and approve. You are authorizing on Zoom's page — Lupo never sees your Zoom password.
  4. Zoom sends you back to Lupo, which confirms: "Your Zoom account is now connected." The integration page now shows Connected as your Zoom email address.

If you change your mind on Zoom's screen, cancelling is safe: nothing is connected, and Lupo tells you so when you land back.

What Lupo asks Zoom for: permission to read your basic Zoom profile (your name and email, shown as "Connected as …"), and to create, read, update, and delete meetings under your account. Lupo only ever touches the meetings it created for your sessions.

Using it: Zoom meetings on your sessions

On a session form (or a cohort training day), with the session set as an online one:

  • If your Zoom is not connected yet, you'll see a Connect Zoom meeting button that starts the connection flow above.
  • Once connected, the button becomes Add Zoom meeting. Click it and save: Lupo schedules a Zoom meeting matching the session's title, date, time, timezone, and duration, and sets its join link as the session's meeting link.

A few details worth knowing:

  • The meeting belongs to the assigned instructor. A session needs an instructor before a meeting can be added, and the meeting is created under that instructor's connected Zoom account — so they can start the class as its host. If the assigned instructor hasn't connected Zoom, Lupo says so and you can paste a meeting link instead.
  • Learners just click Join. The session's join link is what learners get; participants wait in the Zoom waiting room until the host admits them, and joining before the host is off.
  • The host starts from Zoom. Lupo stores only the join link, never the host's start link. As the instructor, start the meeting from your own Zoom app or zoom.us, like any meeting in your account.
  • Rescheduling propagates. Editing the session's date or time updates the Zoom meeting. Removing the meeting from the session, or replacing it, cancels the old meeting in Zoom.
  • No connection, no problem. Any session can instead use a pasted meeting link — create the meeting in Zoom (or any other tool) and paste its invite link into the session's meeting link field. Learners get the same Join button either way.

Removing the app: disconnecting

You can disconnect from either side; both end the same way.

From Lupo: open the Zoom integration page at lupo.ai/learn/integrations/zoom and click Disconnect (there is also a disconnect link right on the session form). Lupo confirms: "Your Zoom account has been disconnected."

From Zoom: sign in at zoom.us, open the App Marketplace, go to Manage → Added Apps, find Lupo, and click Remove. Zoom notifies Lupo that you removed the app, and Lupo tears the connection down exactly as if you had clicked Disconnect in Lupo.

What happens to your data

  • Your Zoom credentials are deleted immediately. The authorization tokens Zoom issued to Lupo — which are stored encrypted while connected — are erased the moment you disconnect, whichever side you disconnect from. Lupo can no longer act on your Zoom account in any way.
  • Lupo stops creating meetings for you. Sessions you schedule after disconnecting use pasted meeting links, until you reconnect.
  • Meetings that already exist are not cancelled. They remain in your Zoom account, and the join links already on sessions keep working. Disconnecting never deletes a meeting.
  • Lupo can no longer update or cancel the meetings it created. After disconnecting, rescheduling a session no longer propagates to Zoom — manage those meetings directly in Zoom, or reconnect.
  • What Lupo keeps: the record that a connection existed — the Zoom account's email address, its Zoom user id, and when it was connected and disconnected — so reconnecting later reactivates cleanly. Lupo never accesses or stores your meeting content, recordings, chats, or participant data.

Reconnecting is the same flow as connecting the first time, and picks up where you left off.
