People
TL;DR; Nobody gets added to a company directly. Membership always rides along with a real grant — enrolling someone in a course, or giving them Knowledge Base access — and the Users and Roles console is where you see all of it gathered in one place.
Before you start
See Roles and scopes for how the grants this page shows actually work.
Steps
Open Users and Roles from your account menu (it sits just below My Roles). The console is read-only by design — its own subtitle says so: "Who is in each department, and what they hold across Knowledge, Learn and Create. Read-only — changes happen in the existing editors." It lists people department by department, with a Company-wide section for grants that cover the whole company, and a Company Administrator only ever sees their own company in it.
To bring someone new into the company, do one of the following — each produces something slightly different:
- Enroll them in a course (single or by CSV). A new email gets a password-less account and an invitation link to set their own password; an existing, confirmed account just gets enrolled and notified.
- Grant them Knowledge Base access (Manager or Member, single or bulk). A new email gets an account created immediately and is emailed a temporary password with a one-click link into the Knowledge Base.
- Ask your Lupo contact to make someone a Company Administrator. This one isn't self-service — see below.
The console links each grant to the page where it is edited: Manage Knowledge access opens a department's Knowledge Base people page, and a course role links to that course's People page. Change or revoke the grant there, not in the console.
What this doesn't do
There is no "Add Person" form and no button that only adds someone to the company. Everything a Company Administrator can grant — course roles, Knowledge Base roles — brings someone into the company roster as a side effect, and that is the only way in.
A Company Administrator can't make another Company Administrator — that's a platform-owner action in Platform People Management, which a Company Administrator can't open (it answers with a permission error). The People & Access button on the company dashboard leads there too, which is why only platform owners see it.
