Welcome!

Add a Join Link

TL;DR; For an online day, paste your own meeting link (Zoom, Teams, Meet, whatever your company uses) into the day's Meeting link field. Lupo doesn't create the meeting for you, and connecting a Zoom account isn't switched on for instructors today — the paste path is the path.

Before you start

You need a day that isn't marked in person. See Schedule a class if you haven't created one yet. In-person days have a Location instead and don't need this.

Steps

  1. Open the day in the delivery run editor (Edit run), or on its own edit page from the run's day list. A day is online unless In person (no online meeting) is ticked — there's no "Online" setting to choose. Leave that box unticked and the Meeting section is shown with the Meeting link field; tick it and the field is replaced by Location. (The day's own edit page words the box "In-person session (no online meeting)" and works the same way.)

  2. Create the meeting yourself first, in Zoom, Teams, Meet, or whatever tool you use — Lupo doesn't create it for you. Copy the meeting's URL and paste it into Meeting link ("Paste an existing meeting link, if you have one."). It has to be a full http:// or https:// address; a bare meeting ID, a phone number, or placeholder text is refused.

  3. You won't see a Connect Zoom option. Lupo's Zoom app is approved on the Zoom Marketplace, but connecting your own Zoom account is switched off on every Lupo host today, so the form shows only the paste field. Only platform administrators and a short allow-list are offered Connect Zoom; an account that was connected while the door was open keeps a "Create a Zoom meeting when I save" box, which isn't something you can set up yourself right now.

  4. Save. Registered learners see the link as a Join session button on the course's schedule and on the session's page — but only from 15 minutes before the start until the session ends. Before that they see "Join opens 15 min before the start"; with no link posted, "Join link not posted yet". The reminder email that goes out 24 hours before the session carries the link too, if it's posted by then.

What this doesn't do

Pasting a link doesn't create or schedule the meeting itself — you make the meeting in your own tool first, then bring the link here.

Common issues

"Meeting link must be a full http(s) URL." — The link you pasted isn't a complete web address. Copy the full link from your meeting tool, starting with http:// or https://. (Your browser may refuse the field first, in its own words — same cause.)

Learners say there's no Join button. — Either the day's meeting link is blank (they see "Join link not posted yet" — edit the day and add one), or it's more than 15 minutes before the start (they see "Join opens 15 min before the start" — nothing to fix).
